So I’m really bad at keeping up with this thing so I will discuss the recent events of my life. Let’s start with last weekend.
The group went to Berlin uber early on Friday morning. When we arrived in the Berlin Hauptbanhauf all us Ammmurrricans searched for Dunkin Donuts with success, and I must say they made a damn good coffee and had prettier donuts. Then we checked into our surprisingly clean hostel and put our belongings into the “pleasure dome.” I was already in love with Berlin.
Then we just walked around and killed time before a delectable lunch. Next was a tour of the city. The majority of the group went on a bike tour but I went on the bus tour because I am a tard and would have gotten hit by a car. The city itself was gorgeous. At certain places we got out, and one of the places was Checkpoint Charlie, which was really cool to see. Then the group met up and went back to the hostel to grab food and get ready to go out. We went to “Club Soda,” and it was definitely one of the most fun nights I’ve ever had. Clubbing until 5:30am is my new favorite thing. The next day we did touristy things and it was the perfect day for it weather wise. That night we went on a Pub Crawl and met some silly Aussies. I got a drink spilled on me for the first time and we ended up at some creepy Bollywood club, but it was a really great night.
This weekend was Prague, which is supposedly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with all of its history. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cold so it took some of the beauty away, but the buildings and streets were gorgeous. Our hostel was in a sketchy area, but it was exactly what a hostel should be: colorful and fun. It was a great place to meet other travelers, which me being a bubbly doofus did a lot of. The first night we went out to a five story club, the biggest in central Europe. Beforehand we pre-gamed in our room and went out to an equally cool cave bar (literally in a cave) so I got pretty schwasted. My alter ego when my hair is straight and/or I am drunk is Misty, and she was out that night. The club was really fun, and I love our guys on this trip for looking out for us and getting rid of the creepo Europeans, which Prague was full of. The only thing that sucked was walking home, which seemed like forever and I don’t remember key details. I do know that I lost my new purple headband, and was VERY upset about it.
The next day was another touristy day with my biffle Lisa and our R.A. Sara. It was nice but I had woke up drunk after sleeping for 3 hours and wasn’t feeling my best. But we went to the John Lennon wall, which actually made me sad because idiots graffittied over the meaningful artwork and lyrics. Prague is a very condensed city and the tourist aspect of it was too noticeable for my liking. We escaped this by going up to a tower that was modeled after the Eiffel Tower and overlooked the city, which is really stunning and has a lot of red roofs. That night we hung out with some Germans we met at our hostel, but a few of my friends and I decided to go our separate way to an Irish Pub, which was hilarious. I loved the old drunk people dancing and having a great time. One put a condom on his head and blew it up. We left there because people we a little too drunk and went back to the hostel, but I made sure I got my fried cheese before we left. From the hostel four of us walked a long ass way to a club next to the 5 story one, but it blew so we ended up back at the club, which I enjoyed because I actually got to see the floors and enjoy it. We took some shots and had a really fun time. I like being in small groups much better, 30 is just too much to deal with. We got back at my favorite time (5:30) and slept until check out the next morning.
Our bus didn’t leave until 6pm so we were going to do some more sightseeing. Unfortunately on the tram ride there, my friend’s wallet (with all of her money and passport) was stolen by big dumb idiot pickpockets. This put a damper on the already wet day and I just felt so bad for her, but she’s a champ. So I spent the day in a Prague police station and tried to lighten the mood, which I’m pretty good at if I do say so myself.
I guess that’s really it. This weekend is Oktoberfest, which will be a shitshow I’m sure.
